League Profile
The Edmonton Recreational Hockey League (ERHL) is a winter/summer hockey league run by players in the league. In winter, there are almost 1500 players registered on over 78 teams. All players are a minimum of 18 years of age, with the majority of players between 25 and 50 years.
There are a variety of divisions to accommodate a broad diversity of skills and competition, and most, if not all, players are fully employed in a broad spectrum of professions. The league is for those individuals who wish to play a competitive brand of hockey in a well organized environment. This allows all players to compete in an atmosphere that promotes a high level of competition and does not allow for contact or fighting.
In short, this is a league for those individuals who enjoy the challenge of competitive hockey in an environment that promotes safety and fair play.
